At least 10 opposition MPs were hurt after Special Forces Command soldiers attacked them inside Uganda’s parliament on Wednesday.
Soroti Woman MP collapsed during the scuffle while others reportedly sustained injuries from the brawl and, detention centres where they were kept for long hours.
Mityana Municipality MP Francis Zaake was rushed to Rubaga hospital where he is still admitted.
According to Kampala mayor Erias Lukwago who visited Zaake on Thursday, the MP “is picking up”.
The other MP who has since received treatment and specialized diagnosis is Mukono Municipality’s Betty Nambooze.
Nambooze suffers from back pain. She has been diagnosed with a condition called Limberspine at Kampala Imaging Centre in Kololo, Kampala.
The firebrand MP was earlier detained at Kireka after her and 24 others were forced out of parliament by SFC officers.
The MPs were suspended for singing down the age limit motion on Tuesday.
