Entebbe Municipal Council has closed De Bar, a nightspot in Entebbe where fallen singer Mozey Radio was assaulted resulting into his death.
“Following the gruesome incident of recent that has led to the death of one of our top musicians Mozey Radio happened in your bar, the council withing the powers vested in it to regulate and control business within her area of jurisdiction has closed your bar with immediate effect,” read the letter from Entebbe town clerk to the management of the bar.
The municipal council withdrew all the licenses and permits that had earlier been issued to the bar.
“Your premises must be kept closed under lock and the key observance of this order. Any forceful operations will attract a fine of 1,000,000shs to be paid to the division,” the town clerk warned in the letter.
Radio was on the morning of Tuesday January 23, 2018 admitted at Case Clinic after he was assaulted, hitting his head on the ground at De Bar.
The singer, who went into coma, underwent a number of surgeries before he was announced dead on Thursday.
