Police and the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) has deployed heavily on Masaka streets ahead of a political rally by opposition Democratic Party (DP).
According to a report by the South Buganda Journalists Association (Sobuja), the officers are heavily armed and anti-riot police cars are seen patrolling the streets.
DP will be holding their reunion rally at Liberation Square in Masaka Municipality.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine is expected to attend the rally.
