Outgoing police spokesperson Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Emillian Kayima has Wednesday handed over office to the incoming, Commissioner of Police (CP) Fred Enanga.
The event that took place on Wednesday morning was held at Uganda Police Head Quarters in Naguru.
Kayima has served as the Police publicist since November 2017, having replaced Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Asan Kasingye.
Prior to that, he was serving the Force as the spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police.
During the handover, Kayima applauded the team he headed as “committed and competent Officers that worked as a family.”
He noted that the challenges at the Public Relations office “exist as they do elsewhere but they are not insurmountable.”
Kayima has since been appointed to be in charge of information and publication under the office of the Police Chief Political Commissar.
CP Enanga who is replacing Kayima is bouncing back to the same position he held under the leadership of former Inspector General of Police Gen. Kale Kayihura.
He will be deputized by ACP Polly Namaye with whom he had served earlier.
