Former Manchester United footballer Quinton Fortune is in Uganda courtesy of Kansai Plascon Uganda.

The South African legend, who enjoyed a 7 year spell at United, is in the country as part of a Kansai Plascon and Manchester United partnership that also includes a visit by United coaches later in the month for a two-day tutorship program with Excel Soccer Academy.

Fortune who is also here as part of a reward for winners who took part in a Kansai Plascon radio and online activation for autographed Manchester United jerseys, has emphasized the importance of corporate sponsorship in sports development.

“It brings me joy whenever I see corporate companies investing in sports. There is an increase in the diversity of these brands. A while back it was only beverages, banks and sports brands that made investments in sports, but today Kansai Plascon a globally renowned paint company is investing in sports. Everyone is appreciating the benefits of sports investment, and that’s great for aspiring sports men,” said Fortune.

Fortune also attended the Plascon Dealer’s Dinner on Saturday evening, exciting guests.

This is not the first time Quiton Fortune is visiting Uganda.

The former footballer came to Uganda in 2012 during the Manchester United Trophy Tour organized by DHL. He would later return in 2013.
