Tax collector Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has recognized the top 1,000 tax compliant Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
According to an appreciation statement published in local press, the SMEs have “consistently fulfilled their tax obligations over the last three years”.
“They have shown growth in revenue, filed their monthly and annual tax returns with a score of above 75 per cent and covering a wide range of tax heads,” read part of the statement.
URA has since extended special invitations to the SMEs “to exhibit their products” at the Tax Payers Appreciation Week from September 25-27 at the Kololo Independence Grounds in Kampala.
