#LockdownDiaries: How is Socialite Judith Heard Dealing With Lockdown?

Uganda is currently under lockdown as a government directive aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Tower Post had a chat with renowned socialite and fashionista Judith Heard, who shared how she is managing during this lockdown.

Give us a one-line bio of yourself

Am a model, fashionista, twin mother and friend to many.

What’s your work situation like at the moment?

My work usually is out of here so right now I have no work. But I have definitely taken advantage of the situation by creating my own TV show. So am currently getting I ntouch with different personalities from all over the world and hosting them on my Instagram live steaming where they share their experiences with us.

Where are you living now and who is with you?

I have a home, I live with my family and maids .

Describe your socializing strategy – How has it changed?

Am still socializing. Aapart from not meeting or going out of my house big crowded places, there hasn’t been any change.

How are you dealing with child care vs work?

I have always been hands-on when it comes to taking care of my kids and work so am going.

Has the lockdown depressed you in any way?

My situation is honestly not alarming yet. I been depressed before and I thank God I haven’t gone to that zone yet.

What are you reading?

Everything in my library on my phone.

What are you watching?

Different movies on Netflix depends on how I feel.

What are you listening to?

Sade (The best of sade).

Have you ever run into LDU after curfew time?

I haven’t been out of my house since the President said no more private cars and no jogging.

What would you do if curfew time caught you outside your home?

I don’t get out for anything so that will never happen.

Do you own a bicycle?

I used to have 3 but I donated them to 3 men in my mum’s village that wanted to start making a little money for themselves so I gave them the bicycles as a means of transportation.

How are you staying fit – Which exercises are you doing?

I started a workout session with a personal trainer and we do it live on my Instagram every Saturday morning from 11am -1pm.

Have you taken up a new hobby? Which one?

Instead I have used this time to do all the research on CBD and my skincare line coming soon.

How are you getting your groceries?

I have a boda guy who I send a list of things I need and he buys everything and delivers.

Any tips for getting necessities while in this lockdown?

You can always find different apps to order online for whatever you want or have one boda guy from the neighborhood who you can trust.

One awkward moment since the lock down started?

when I woke up at 4:00AM thinking I had to drop the kids to school and couldn’t go back to bed till 3:00PM.

How do you think this whole thing is going to end?

I leave that to my God. All I can hope for is for us all to come out as better people.
