Coronavirus cases in Uganda have now reached 281. This is after 28 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed on May 27.
The 21 new cases are truck drivers who arrived from South Sudan via Elegu while 7 cases are contacts to previously confirmed truck drivers. The contacts were under quarantine at the time of test, according to the Ministry of Health.
7 positive foreign truck drivers (4 Tanzanians,1 Eritrean,1 Congolese and 1 Burundian) were handed over to their country of origin
The total number of recoveries in Uganda is now at 69.
