Been 5 Years of Craziness: Dreventy Finally Drops Much Anticipated EP – Blue Detail

The much anticipated ‘Blue Detail’ EP by Dreventy is finally out.

The 5-Track extended play bares no feature and carries tracks like Check On Me, Going Nowhere, I Love The Dark, Hopeless and Grand Pa.

Announcing the news of the arrival of the EP, Derrick Talemwa who’s also professionally known as Dreventy wrote; “Been 5 years of love, labor, craziness, Blood, sweat, tears and here we are. My precious baby BlueDetailTheEP has been birthed”

“This EP is my truth and my reality. I am happy to finally share it with the world. Enjoy,” he added.

The raving R&B/Pop crooner earlier this week cranked netizens’ excitement into overdrive with the revelation of the EP’s official tracklist, and as of today, the wait is no more.

Dreventy’s debut set is preceded by tracks ‘5 Ways’ and the Maerco assisted remix for his maiden single ‘I Won’t Forget’ which both arrived last year.

About Dreventy:

Born Derrick Talemwa, Dreventy’s deep musical roots trace back to his childhood, and later at school events; singing both covers and originals; the his proudest work being a cover of Alicia Keys and Jussie Smollett’s ‘Powerful’ from Empire.

Dreventy debuted onto the scene back then in 2018 with the release of a series of song covers including Black Panther soundtrack “Pray For Me” by The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar, and Sam Smith’s ‘Too Good At Goodbyes”, among others.

His cover of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect” earned him recognition as one of Soundcity’s 11 Underground Talented Rising Stars To Hear.

He also emerged second place at the Penda singing contest auditions back then in 2019. In the same year, he released his first ever single;- I Won’t Forget, ‘Promises’ in 2020, and ‘5 Ways’ last year.
