South Sudan: Kiir Appoints Undersecretary in Justice Ministry, Promotes Legal Counsels

South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir on Monday appointed an undersecretary in the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs and promoted legal counsels.

In a presidential decree read on state-run media, Kiir promoted the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice Dr. Isaac Gabriel Awow Aban to the position of Undersecretary.

In another decree, Kiir promoted six senior legal counsels to counsels general, 17 first legal counsels to senior legal counsels, and 13 second legal counsels to first legal counsels.

The promoted senior legal counsel to counsels general include Afaf Ismail Ibrahim, Sarafino Simon Mizan, Gabriel Majak Abui, Angelo Sebit Gaetano, Sabri Wani Ladu and David Charles Ali

First legal counsels promoted to senior legal counsels are Awad Haroun, Simon Reek Deng, John Justin Aguek, Peter John David, Harson Alhaj Paul, Madol Anyut Madol and Deng Majak Deng.

Others include, Carlo Atilio Ator, Chan Gat, Philemon Alphonse, Amin Gabriel, Benedict Zaza, Benjamin Kuac Marial, Lawrence Loro Kamilo, Nicadimo Khamis, John Natana Abraham and Gier Waar Thier.

Also, second legal counsels promoted to first legal counsels include Angok Daniel Chol Riek, Kot Juuk Alit, Lino Chol Aguek, James Ernest, Thomas Mario, Anthony B Thuwat, Sista Samuel Lupai, Peter Awin Along, Bior Philip Thit, Akon John Chuk, Simon Wang , Ayii Deng Ayii, and Martin Toby.
