Promote Equity in the Education Sector – Tycoon Basajjabalaba Tells Education Institutions

In the recently released 2023 Primary Leaving Exams, statistics showed that girls performed much better than Boys in all grades

This caught the attention of City Tycoon and businessman Hassan Basajjabalaba who emphasized the need for a fair and inclusive education system that would provide equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Basajjabalaba said he believes that every child, regardless of their social status or economic situation, deserves a chance to succeed and fulfill their potential.

He acknowledged that achieving equity in educational results would not be an easy task, it would require the collective effort of the entire education sector, including teachers, administrators, parents, and the government. He called upon them to work together to address the existing disparities and create a level playing field for all students.

To promote equity, Bassajabala proposed several innovative measures. He suggested the implementation of comprehensive scholarship programs to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring that they have access to quality education and resources.

He also emphasized the importance of investing in teacher training and professional development, as well as providing adequate infrastructure and learning materials to schools in remote areas.

The tycoon recognized that promoting equity in educational results would require a shift in mindset and a change in the way education is delivered. He encouraged educators to adopt creative teaching methods that catered to the individual needs of students, fostering a love for learning and encouraging critical thinking.

Furthermore, Basajjabala stressed the importance of parental involvement in education. He urged parents to actively participate in their children’s education, providing them with the necessary support and guidance to excel academically.

In the years that followed, Uganda witnessed significant progress in its education sector. The efforts to promote equity in educational results bore fruit, as more students from disadvantaged backgrounds were able to excel academically and pursue their dreams. The country became a shining example of how a commitment to equity in education can transform lives and empower future generations.
