Authorities in Kampala investigating a fatal road accident that occurred on July 29, 2025 at around 3:00 PM along the Kampala Northern Bypass near the Kisaasi flyover.

According to Police the accident involved a CAF branded King Long Bus, registration number UA 19059AA being driven by a one Khalid Ahmed, assigned to the Uganda Cranes,and a motorcycle with registration number UFB 122F.

“It is alleged that the driver of the bus swerved in an attempt to avoid a collision with an oncoming trailer, and in the process, knocked a Boda Boda rider who is yet to be identified causing his death on the spot,” said Owoyesigyire Luke the Deputy PRO, Kampala Metropolitan Police in a statement.

Police said the body of the deceased was conveyed to the City Mortuary at Mulago for postmortem examination while the bus and the motorcycle involved in the accident are currently parked at Kira Road Police Station pending further inspection as investigations into the accident continue.
