KCB Bank Uganda Hands Over Shs 75M Cheque as Title Sponsor of the 2025 -Kenya Day Golf Tournament

KCB Bank Uganda has handed over a cheque worth UGX 75 million to the Kenya High Commission in Uganda, reaffirming its commitment as the title sponsor of the upcoming Kenya Day – KCB Golf Tournament.

The tournament, slated for 22nd November 2025 at the Uganda Golf Club, is one of the key activities lined up to commemorate Kenya’s Independence Day, celebrated on 12th December 2025. The initiative strengthens bilateral relations, celebrates shared heritage and reinforces KCB Bank’s regional presence as a leading financial institution in East Africa.

Speaking during the handover at KCB Bank Uganda Head Office, Lohana Towers, the Managing Director of KCB Bank Uganda, Edgar Byamah, emphasised the bank’s dedication to fostering cross-border partnerships and supporting events that unite communities across the region.

“As a regional bank founded in Kenya and proudly rooted in East Africa, we are honoured to partner with the Kenya High Commission in marking this historic occasion. Our sponsorship underscores our commitment to nurturing relationships, promoting excellence and delivering value to customers across borders,” the MD noted.

The 2025 celebrations include three flagship activities:

  • Kenya Day – KCB Golf Tournament – 22nd November 2025, Uganda Golf Club
    KCB Bank Uganda serves as the title sponsor, with the official press launch scheduled for 20th November 2025 at Fairway Hotel.
  • Kenya Independence Day Celebration – 12th December 2025

A commemoration of Kenya’s 62 years of independence.

  • Diaspora Day – 6th December 2025

A dedicated engagement for diaspora clients showcasing KCB Bank’s tailored financial solutions including cross-border banking, diaspora accounts and investment options.

The Kenya High Commissioner, His Excellency Joash Arthur Maangi, expressed appreciation to KCB Bank Uganda for its continued partnership and unwavering support towards strengthening Kenya-Uganda relations.
