Talent Africa Group Revives Uganda’s Live Entertainment Scene in Landmark 11-Month Run

In the last 11 months, Talent Africa Group (TAG) brought back live entertainment on the Ugandan scene.

The focus was to scale, diversify and create a flawless execution. From mass-attendance festivals to refined, intimate showcases.

Across the year, the company rolled out an impressive calendar of concerts, festivals, cultural showcases and corporate engagements that not only filled venues but also restored confidence in the country’s live events ecosystem.

Balancing these massive gatherings were a series of curated, premium events that offered more intimate yet equally powerful experiences. These productions blended performance, elegance and exclusivity, showcasing TAG’s versatility and its ability to design varied entertainment formats without compromising on quality.

The 2025 lineup was rich and diverse. Highlights included Jameson Hangout, Legends of Sound: Afrigo@50, a golden jubilee celebration at Millennium Grounds, Into The B’raka Land, Joshua Baraka’s maiden concert at Ndere Cultural Centre, Uganda Dance Nights, the Latin and Ballroom Dance Gala Ball at Kampala Serena Hotel, Ekyooto Ha Mpango, The Royal Experience with Cindy Sanyu in Concert, The Comedy Grill of Anne Kansiime, Uganda’s first roast-style comedy show at Sheraton Gardens and the wildly popular Rave to the Grave Halloween Party, among many others.

Among the year’s standout moments was the return of the Nyege Nyege Festival. Already established as one of the region’s most important platforms for alternative music, artistic freedom and cultural exchange, the 2025 edition once again drew thousands of revelers, artists and creatives from across Africa and beyond.

Music remained at the heart of TAG’s programming throughout the year. Concert properties such as the Eastside Tour at Ndere Cultural Centre, headlined by Marvin Records stars Bayanni, Boy Spyce and Magixx, exemplified the company’s commitment to connecting continental and global sounds with local audiences.

Performing artist Bruce Dickson, who appeared on a TAG platform during the year, summed it up best: “TAG events feel intentional.

You’re not just booked to perform—you’re part of something bigger, something that’s well thought out.” That intentionality has become a defining hallmark of the company, driven by a highly coordinated team under the leadership of Group CEO Aly Alibhai.

Its success reaffirmed Uganda’s place on the global festival circuit and highlighted TAG’s ability to manage large-scale, multi-day productions that demand both creative sensitivity and logistical precision.
