FULL LIST: Uganda Police Releases 2026 List of Licensed Private Security Companies, Gun Dealers

The Uganda Police Force has published the official roster of private security organizations and authorized gun dealers permitted to operate in the country for 2026.

The announcement, issued under the Firearms Act and the Police Act, comes via a notice from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and aims to promote transparency, curb illegal operations, and ensure only vetted entities provide security services or handle firearms.

The Inspector General of Police confirmed that the licences were granted following a thorough review process.

The move helps the public, businesses, and institutions identify legitimate providers while cracking down on unlicensed actors in the sector.
