South African singer PJ Powers and Uganda’s dynamic duo of Radio & Weasel are both ready and excited about the Jabulani Charity Concert.
Organised with the aim raising funds to support the empowerment of Ugandan girls, the concert will happen this Friday, June 30, at Kampala Serena Hotel.
The concert is a brainchild of Girl Up Initiative, a local non-profit organisation.
Radio & Weasel, PJ Powers and Girl Up Initiative addressed the press in Kampala on Wednesday about the concert.
Girl Up Initiative Executive Director Monica Nyiraguhawa said: “The Jabulani Charity Concert is a blessing to us.
“We appreciate whoever that has contributed to our concert. After the Concert we are going to reach out to over 12,000 girls in Uganda.”
PJ Powers who lost her mother last week said she hates injustice.
Overall, the trio said they were “very passionate about girl child issues”, adding that “Jabulani Charity Concert is absolutely to change lives of the vulnerable girls.”
