UPDF: 12 Ugandan Soldiers Killed, Seven Injured in Somalia

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) has issued a second statement opening up on the numbers of those injured and killed in a Somali ambush by terrorist group al-shabaab.

Al Shabaab had Sunday claimed they had killed 39 Amison peace keepers in southern Somalia.

The UPDF would later issue a statement but did not give the figures of the fatalities and casualities.

But a Monday statement gave more details, putting the figure of those killed at 12, and that of the injured at seven.

The dead and injured have been evacuated to Mogadishu Level II statement, the Monday statement said.
