Bushenyi Court Clerk, Agricultural Officer Kidnapped

Unknown attackers have once again hit Greater Bushenyi in western Uganda about three days after assailants kidnapped and killed businessman John Headex Rwamutwe.

Silvertoli Ngabirano, a court clerk at Bushenyi chief magistrate’s court, and Savio Ariho, an agricultural officer at Ryeru sub-county in Rubirizi district, were kidnapped in Bushenyi Town and Rubirizi respectively, on Friday evening.

Ngabirano was kidnapped fromDelta Petrol Station located just opposite Bushenyi-Ishaka municipal offices at around 7:30pm.

He was reportedly whisked off towards Mbarara Municipality, severely beaten and dumped helpless at about nine miles on Mbarara–Bushenyi Road.

He would later be helped by commercial motorcyclists (boda boda riders) who then called his close friend.

Ngabirano was rushed to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital.

RUBIRIZI ATTACK

Three hours later at about 10 pm, in Rubirizi district, an agricultural officer was also kidnapped, making him the third victim of what seems like a spate of kidnappings in Bushenyi.

Attackers kidnapped Savio Ariho, who works as an agricultural officer at Ryeru sub-county, on Friday night while he approached the entrance to his house located in Rubirizi Town Council.

Initial reports indicate that Ariho was drugged with Chloroform. He was then beaten up, his face deformed, and dumped at Nyakasaru Trading Centre.

Ariho was discovered unconscious at about 3am Saturday morning.

He would then be rushed to BB Clinic in Ishaka Town Ariho.
