“It’s two years today since you left us, it’s the norm to say you are in a better place but I just wish you were still here, and not in pain.

I would be a mess if it wasn’t for the wonderful upbringing I had, even when we had not much, you made life better for us through your teachings, kindness, persistence, humor, and a couple of lashes (many) on my bum, your cooking and of course, the music.

There is so much I wish I could have done for you, so much that I can do now, and so many things to say,…people i want you to meet, and mistakes i have done, wish you were here,…you would calm the storm that I carry in my chest, I guess here comes another song for you on the album. ?

Rest in peace Mom.

Forever loved, forever missed.

Sophie Baguma Munobi
