Uganda RnB musician Maurice Kirya has expressed his disappointment after missing an invitation to the 2017 Coke Studio Africa Launch that was held at Fame Lounge in Kampala on Thursday night.

Kirya, who was one of the most outstanding participants in the 2015 edition of the annual music show, noted that he of all people should have been invited for the launch of the show in Uganda.

“After I mashed up that stage like no other, #CokeStudioAfrica didn’t invite me to witness support the launch in my own country? Like WTF???,” Kirya wrote on Twitter.

The ‘invites-only’ Coke Studio Africa 2017 launch event was attended by media personalities and musicians, who were ushered and treated with a red carpet experience before watching the first episode of Coke Studio Africa 2017. Guests were also entertained by entertained by musicians like Irene Ntale.

The show will be showing on NTV every Saturday at 8:00pm.
