PHOTOS: Health Ministry, US Govt Renew Infectious Diseases Research Collaboration

Uganda’s health ministry has signed a new agreement with the US government to further collaboration in training on- and research in infectious diseases.

US ambassador to Uganda Deborah Malac said: “Proud to sign this new agreement with Uganda’s ministry of Health to expand our partnership to fight infectious diseases in Uganda.”

Ambassador Malac praised Uganda as “an African leader in biomedical research”.

According to Uganda’s health ministry, the agreement will enable scientists share data, collaborate on research projects and benefit from training opportunities from both nations.
