The ex-wife of the late Ivan Semwanga, Zari Hassan has promised to take good care of the deceased tycoon’s businesses and children.
“I am not mourning Ivan Semwanga but rather celebrating his life. I promised to take good care of our children and his businesses,” she said.
Zari was Monday speaking at Semwanga’s requiem service at Namirembe Cathedral in Kampala.
She said; “I was raised by a single mother who taught me to be strong.”
Ivan Semwanga died on Thursday May 25th in Pretoria South Africa.
His body was flown to the country on Sunday, May 28th.
Prior to his death, there was a bitter row between Zari and Semwanga’s family on whether the former would get to keep and take care of the deceased’s estate.
Family claimed that Zari had no right over Semwanga’s property since she had divorced him for Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platnumz.
Zari, who had three children with Semwanga however, maintains that the deceased’s property and businesses belong to his children.
She has since promised to take good care of what legally belongs to her children.
Semwanga will be buried on Tuesday May 30th at his ancestral home in Kayunga.
