Janet Museveni, Education Ministry Mourn Prof Mukiibi


The Ministry of Education and Sports has joined the St. Lawrence Schools fraternity, friends and relatives to mourn the late Prof. Lawrence Mukiibi.

Prof. Mukiibi, the St Lawrence Schools proprietor died on Sunday (May 28th, 2017) at Norvik Hospital in Kampala.

In her condolence message, the First Lady of Uganda and Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni noted that “the Ministry is cognizant of the tremendous contribution which the late Prof. Mukiibi has made towards advancing education standards of the country through the various top Secondary Schools which he started and a University all of which have been pivotal in changing the image of educational standards for the country and the East African Region as a whole.”

“Uganda will always take pride in having had such a great son and humble servant of the people and we will truly miss him,” the Minister Janet Museveni’s message also read.

Prof. Lawrence Mukiibi will be laid to rest at Katende, Mpigi District on Friday, 2nd June 2017.
