Bobi Wine Transferred from Kasangati Police to Unknown Place as Supporters Turn Violent

Police has transferred arrested singer Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi from Kasangati Police where he was earlier detained to an unknown place.

The singer who is also running for the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament seat was arrested on Tuesday morning enroute to his final campaign rally.

He was first detained at Kasangati police before being moved to an undisclosed place.

However, sources privy to the proceedings have revealed that the singer is currently detained at Kiira Police Station.

We can’t independently verify the claims.

Supporters Demonstrate

Angry Bobi Wine supporters who included celebrities and opinion leaders had started exchanging words with the police, calling for the release of the musician.

Most of them referred to it as political persecution while others called it a move by government to stop the artiste from ‘shinning’ on his last rally.

This is a developing story, check back later for more details.
