Ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidate William Sitenda Sebalu has cast his ballot in the ongoing Kyadondo East by-election.
Sebalu voted at Yogemu Primary School Polling Station in Wampewo.
Earlier Sebalu’s contender singer Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu (Bobi Wine) and wife Barbie voted at Magere polling station.
Sebalu said he was not scared of Bobi Wine.
“Victory is mine,” Sebalu said. “ I invite Bobi Wine to perform ‘bada’ at my victory party in the evening.”
“I’m not scared of Bobi Wine, I’m not a musician. I’m going to win by an overwhelming majority,” he added.
Voting started as early as 7am, albeit with some delays, and will end at 4pm.
Some 72,818 voters are expected to decide on the five candidates.
