Popular Ugandan female musician Sheebah Karungi makes her debut on Coke Studio Africa this year. The Team No Sleep singer has been paired with Ethiopian artist Asgegnew Ashko popularly known as Asge.
Sheebah is already in Kenya’s capital Nairobi for Coke Studio, joining the list of Ugandan musicians including Bebe Cool, Ykee Benda and Lydian Jazmine who feature in this year’s edition of the annual show.
“I have been waiting for this opportunity to have everyone’s attention on screen and on stage, expect a different Vibe. I am excited about working with Asge because we have a lot in common,” says Sheebah, who is already in Kenya’s capital Nairobi for Coke Studio.
This year Coke Studio has merged Coke Studio Africa and Coke Studio South Africa into one—bigger and better Coke Studio Africa 2017.
The show promises to be a melting pot of music talents bringing together renowned music producers and top-notch artists drawn from various parts of the continent.
The merger increases the number of participating countries to 16, up from 11 in previous edition.
