Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations and son to President Museveni, Maj Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has joined the UPDF, friends and family to mourn fallen veteran army officer Brig. Geoffrey Kyabihende ‘Taban’.

Brig. Kyabihende officer succumbed to Cancer on Monday morning at Nakasero Hospital, where he was admitted last week.

Eulogizing the fallen Brigadier via Twitter, Major Gen Kainerugaba wrote; “Very sad to hear about the passing of our comrade Brigadier Taban Kyabihende. We shall miss his dedication and energy! May he RIP.”

Brig. Kyabihende was the the Deputy Commander of the 3rd Battalion that captured Kampala in 1986.

By the time of his death, he was Uganda’s Defence Attaché in Kinshasa, DRC
