Ugandan long-distance runner Joshua Cheptegei has dedicated his IAAF World Championships Silver Medal to President Yoweri Museveni.
Cheptegei won the medal after finishing second in the men’s 10,000m race on Friday with a time of 26:49.94 behind Sir Mo Farah of Great Britain.
“I dedicate a prestigious World 10000m Silver Medal to His Excellency president KagutaMuseveni for Medical support after Kololo tragedy,” he wrote on Twitter

It will be remembered that the athlete got injured and walked to the finish line at the World Cross Country Championships held at Kololo in March this year.
