NTV Uganda has this morning (Thursday, August 17th 2017) confirmed that their Managing Director Aggie Asiimwe Konde will be leaving the TV Station after four and a half years of service.
The Tower Post on Wednesday broke the news that Ms Konde is set to quit her NTV job after being appointed the new CEO of Msingi East Africa Limited.
According to Nation Media Group CEO Joe Muganda, Ms Konde will be leaving the business effective 8th September 2017.
“Ms. Konde has been instrumental in building a diversified and profitable portfolio for Africa Broadcasting Uganda Limited (ABUL) over the period she has managed the business,” said Joe Muganda in a statement.
“On behalf of management and the board of Nation Media Group, I would like to thank Ms Kondo for her service to ABUL,” he added.
Muganda also revealed that Johnson Omollo, who has been serving as advertizing head, had been appointed to serve as Acting Head of TV “until further notice”.
“Mr. Omollo has been with ABUL for over 8 years and has been key to the growth of the business as well as managing multiple projects with development partners and government agencies,” said Muganda.
