Top Ugandan musicians on Sunday (August 20th, 2017) thrilled thousands of fans at MTN Uganda’s Mobile Money Concert dubbed “Ekivvulu kya MTN Mobile Money”, which was held at Wankulukuku Grounds in Kampala.
MTN Uganda organized the free music concert for its Mobile Money customers; all they had to do is to make at least 5 transactions in the month of August.
The MTN Mobile Money month activities have been themed #Enkolera which means ‘it works for me.’ Launched in 2009 and with currently over 8 million customers, MTN Mobile Money has transformed the lives and fortunes of many Ugandans. From providing employment, to easing and reducing the cost of doing business, MTN Mobile Money continues to be the fastest growing service under MTN’s portfolio of services.
Fans started arriving at the concert as early as 10:00AM and by 2:00PM, the venue was already packed.
The concert had a great line-up of most of the finest entertainers in Uganda ranging from comedians to musicians of all music genres like dancehall, kadongo kamu, Afrobeat among others.
Some of the artistes that performed at the concert were Jose Chameleone, Kyadondo East Kyadondo Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert (Bobi Wine), Cindy Sanyu, Ronald Mayinja, Maddox Sematimba, Juliana Kanyomozi, Catherine Kusasira, Winnie Nwagi and Irene Ntale as well as comedians Mariachi, MadRat and Chico among many others.
MTN services were also availed to customers at the concert and lots of prizes were won.
