The nominees for the 2017 Ug Mix Maestro Awards were unveiled at a cocktail event held at Fame Lounge in Kampala on Wednesday evening.
The awards, which are an initiative of Uganda Waragi, will see deejays across the country battle it out for the top spot.
The nominees were announced and also received their nomination certificates at the event.

According to the organizers, All nominees will rally their fans to vote for them on http://www.djau.ug/ going live on 1st September 2017.
This will follow an SMS/USSD mobile voting to allow more fans to vote for their favorite DJ to emerge the winner in their specific category throughout the Ug Mix Maestro campaign.
The DJ battles will also take place to allow many other DJs from the 5 regions including; Arua, Fortportal, Mbarara, Jinja and Entebbe to participate and compete for the ‘BEST Male & Female Battle Dj of the year 2017’ Award.
The Awards night is scheduled for Friday 6th October 2017 at the Golf Course Hotel in Kampala where the winners will be crowned.
