A Ugandan Muslim man has died on pilgrimage in Makkah in Saudi Arabia.

The pilgrim, Dauda Musoke, breathed his last at Assamaaha Hotel in Makkah Monday evening.

Musoke had reportedly suffered a short illness.

A resident of Namagoma in Kyengera town council in Wakiso district, Musoke had travelled to Makkah under Nakasero Tours and Travel.

At around 8:30pm, a funeral prayer was later held for Musoke and his body laid to rest in a public cemetery about four Kilometers outside the holy city of Makkah.
