Court of Appeal has today (Friday, 15th September) nullified the election of Democratic Party (DP)’s Wakayima Musoke as Nansana Municipality MP.
Court ruled that Musoke is not a registered voter and therefore not eligible for nomination.
Unlike other previous election nullifications, there will be no by-election for the Nansana munipality MP seat as court replaced Musoke with National Resitance Movement (NRM)’s Robert Kasule Ssebunya after giving their ruling.
This latest NRM victory comes just hours after the party’s candidate Brenda Asinde Suubi was declared winner of Thursday’s Iganga District Woman MP by-election.
