Television and radio stations have been warned against hosting Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine following Wednesday and Tuesday chaotic scenes in Parliament.

On Tuesday, Kyagulanyi and other opposition MPs sang down a motion by Igara West MP Raphael Magyezi to lift the upper age limit of 75 to allow three-decade president Yoweri Museveni run for president in 2021 even when he will be over 75 years.

Bobi Wine and 23 other MPs opposed to Magyezi’s motion were later suspended for three sittings on Wednesday.

But the musician-politician and his co-suspended would later defy Speaker Rebecca Kadaga’s orders to leave house.

They later engaged in a scuffle with Special Forces Command (SFC) officers.

Some MPs like Mityana Municipality’s Francis Zaake and Municipality’s Betty Nambooze were injured and admitted in hospital.

Now it has emerged that Bobi, and other suspended MPs, have been banned from TVs and radios.

On Thursday, both NTV and NBS announced they would host Bobi on their talk shows: NTV On The Spot and Frontline, respectively.

But the politician appeared on none.

Capital FM on Saturday told its listeners the station had been warned against hosting Bobi.

TV stations have reportedly been threatened with closure if they hosted the politician who enjoys growing popularity.

On Wednesday, communication regulator UCC banned live TV and radio coverage of the age limit motion discussion in Parliament.
