Former commander of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen Katumba Wamala has today visited Mityana Municipality MP Francis Zaake at Rubaga Hospital in Kampala, where he was admitted following last week’s age limit motion scuffle at Parliament.
MP Zaake was allegedly punched by Gen Wamala, also junior Works and Transport Minister.
Gen Katumba Wamala had earlier via Twitter revealed that he did what he had to do “because MP Zaake was selling ice cream in form of breaking chairs and destroying Parliament property in the process”.
However during an interview with NTV Uganda on Sunday, he (Gen Wamala) denied punching Zaake, explaining that he only folded a fist and threatened to teach the MP a lesson if he did not stop being chaotic.
MP Zaake is still nursing injuries from the scuffle. Doctors at Rubaga say he sustained injuries in the head.
