Jose Chameleone Arrives in Congo Ahead of Amani Festival Finale

Legendary Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone has arrived in the Democratic Republic of Congo ahead of his performance at the 2018 Amani Festival this Sunday.

Chameleone arrived in Congo in the company of his singing brother Pallaso, Rwanda’s Deejay Pius and a 16-man band.

The Wale-Wale hit maker will be performing on the final day of the festival in Goma DRC on Sunday.

“Chameleone has been a darling to us all these years. Congolese people love him to the bone and it was solely our intention to give them their best artistes. He will be the event’s biggest guest performer,” said the event organizers at a press conference.

The Amani Festival which is now in its fifth edition, is one of the biggest cultural events in the Great Lakes Region.

The music and art event, which attracts thousands of music lovers, seeks to promote peaceful co-existence in the region and promote a positive image of a once troubled zone.
