Ugandan long distance runner Joshua Kiprui Cheptegei has Friday won his second Gold Medal in the ongoing 2018 Common Wealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
Cheptegei completed the double by winning the men’s 10,000m final with a record finish time of 27:19.62.
Canada’s Mohammed Ahmed came second with a finish time of 27.20.56 to win silver and Kenya’s Rogers Kwemoi finished third ahead of Uganda’s Jacob Kiplimo to win bronze.
This become’s Cheptegei’s second gold medal in the 2018 Common Wealth Games after his men’s 5000m final gold won on Sunday April 8, 2018.
