World Earth Day is set for Sunday April 22, 2018 and Uganda Little Hands Go Green, an organisation that champions environmental activism in Uganda has planed an international conference where young children from Uganda and neighbouring countries like Rwanda will learn how to conserve the environment.
The conference that happens once a year is set to run under the theme “End Plastic Pollution, Restore Wetlands, Protect the Future” at the Ntinda School For the Deaf.
The audience especially children will be equipped with information that they could use to enforce environmental conservation, plastics re-usage skills and exhibitions.
The conference is organised by Uganda Little Hands Go Green, NBS TV, KCCA, Mixakids, Java House, NEMA and Round Bob.
The conference will be graced by the Dr. Mary Kitutu the Environment Minister, NEMA Executive Director Dr. Tom Okurut and others.
Ahead of the World Earth Day, the Go Green team led by Joseph Masembe has been carrying out school tours to teach children about conserving the environment.
