Itel Mobile, in partnership with technology giant Google has launched its flagship smartphone the itel A32F which is the first fingerprint smartphone with the latest Android Oreo (Go edition) across Africa markets.
Android Go is a stripped-down version of Android meant to run on inexpensive, low-end devices: devices without much processing power, with limited amounts of RAM, and with a small amount of storage.
It’s also meant for people with limited internet connectivity and expensive data plans that need to be carefully conserved especially in Uganda.
The Android edition which was launched late February is optimized to deliver a smooth and fast experience for entry level smartphones and offers consumers a number of benefits which among others include new and re imagined Google apps.
According to a statement from itel which The Tower Post has seen, the new itel A32F is packed with a customized, convenient, responsive and multi-functional fingerprint sensor, which allows users to program up to eight fingerprints to take photo or video, answer phone call, stop alarm clock and quick launch apps directly from the lock screen.
“Its 5-inch display with the luxury metallic back cover with edge-curved design offers a slim and comfortable grip with great visual experience when watching video or playing games,” the statement reads.
We haven’t acquired the device yet, and when we do, we shall dissect all its features in a full review.
The A32F is now available in all itel Mobile branded outlets nationwide.
