Brian Isiko, the YMCA student who last was sentenced to two years in jail for expressing love to Kabarole Woman MP Sylvia Rwabwogo, has finally been granted bail by High Court in Kampala.

Isiko, 25, who had been calling and sending love messages to the 41-year-old legislator, appealed against Buganda Road magistrates court’s ruling and sentence before High Court and applied for pending hearing of his appeal.

High Court judge Jane Francis Abodo on Friday granted him cash bail of Shs 500,000 while his sureties were placed on a Shs 5 million shillings non cash bond.

Among the bail conditions, Isiko was ordered not to contact Hon Rwabwogo either directly or indirectly.

He is also required to report to the court registry every third Friday of the month until further orders by court.
