Bullets, Tear Gas Rock Kamwokya as Youths Protest Bobi Wine Arrest

Bullets and tear gas have been fired in Kamwokya, Kampala to disperse disgruntled residents who are protesting the arrest of Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine.

Bobi Wine was arrested in on Monday evening in Arua after chaos erupted during election campaigns.

He was detained at Gulu Military barracks and was expected to appear before the Gulu Court martial but he didn’t.

Kamwokya resiidents would then take to the streets in protest of the actions, also demanding that government discloses the whereabouts of the legislator.

Bobi Wine resides in Kamwokya, Kampala.

By publication time, uncontrolled youths were burning tyres in the middle of the road as police tried to disperse them.
