Gulu High Court has Monday granted bail to Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, Arua Municipality MP elect Kassiano Wadri together with 32 others with whom they were arrested.
Bobi Wine together with his colleagues are facing treason charges arising from the Arua campaign chaos that left the singer’s driver killed.
In the scuffle, President Museveni’s car was hit and vandalized by individuals believed to belong in Kassiano Wadri’s court.
A total of 33 were arrested and driven to Gulu where they were charged and remanded.
They were released on a 5 million non-cash bond for applicants and a 10 million non-cash bond for sureties
Also in the bail ruling, the judge put a restriction on Wadri not to visit or appear anywhere in Arua Municipality for 3 months.
Court will however be obliged to authorize if serious need arises.
