Popular Ugandan musician King Saha has recently signed a mega deal with telecom giant Airtel Uganda as their new brand ambassador.
In his role, the “Biri biri” hit maker will be tasked with be tasked with representing and marketing Airtel Uganda’s products and services to customers. He will also appear in Airtel Uganda’s adverts.
King Saha has dominated airwaves this year with his hit songs like “Am on My Way”, “Very Well”, “Biri Biri” and “Mpa Love” among others, a possible reason why Airtel Uganda zeroed on him to represent them.
The singer has started his ambassadorial role by marketing Airtel’s new ‘My First 4G’ smartphone.
Saha who could not hide his excitement about the new endorsement deal, took to Facebook, where he wrote; “#AIRTELAMBASSADOR…Pls go buy that phone (the Airtel ‘My First 4G’ smartphone)..U wont regret…”.
It however remains unknown how much money the musician will be earning for the deal. What we are sure of though is that it is a huge amount.
King Saha Joins music superstar Eddy Kenzo, who has been Airtel Uganda’s Brand Ambassador since 2015.
Asked if King Saha was replacing him as Airtel Brand Ambassador, Eddy Kenzo told Tower Post News that he still has a running contract with the telecommunications company.
“I am still working with Airtel. My contract will end next year (2019),” Eddy Kenzo told our reporter.
