News anchor Rachael Arinaitwe Mwine has become the latest employee to leave NTV Uganda, seven years after she took up the job at the country’s finest television station.
Arinaitwe Mwine announced her exit from NTV at the end of Thursday’s news cast.
“Tonight Rachael Arinaitwe Tibarokoka Mwine signs out,” she announced in an intro to her journey and life story.
Management said “NTV is extremely grateful and honoured to have worked with you, [Racheal]”.
“Your hard work and dedication were a great contribution to NTV Uganda,” NTV Uganda management praised Mwine.
“We wish you all the very best on your next journey.”
NTV Uganda has seen scores of its key reporters and anchors quit.
Most recently, Maurice Mugisha left his lead role at the NTV news department to join state broadcaster UBC TV as deputy managing director.
News anchors and reporters Rukh-Shana Namuyimba, Sheilah Nduhukire, Solomon Sserwanjja, and Raymond Mujuni have left the station.
It was not readily clear where Mwine would go next after NTV Uganda.
