Solome Basuuta Sets Date for Her Music Concert

Songstress Solome Basuuta has announced the date for her upcoming love music experience which she dubbed Love Nights.

The event, according to Vint Edge, the brand that manages Basuuta, is slated for Thursday, November 29th at Skyz Hotel, Naguru (Skyz Deck).

“Love Nights will set the mood for the enjoyment of love music, whether with a group of close friends and family who wish to have a great night, or as a couple. This is an event to celebrate love,” the singer is quoted as having said.

She says Love Nights is an opportunity for everyone who enjoys love music to crown the work year with LOVE before the busy festive season sets in.

The Tower Post understands that on the day, revelers will also get a chance to listen to some of the new music off the Song of Solome project.

Who is Solome Basuuta?

Solome Basuuta a.k.a The Queen of Love is a singer/vocalist, songwriter and performing artist who loves to sing about LOVE.

Basuuta’s musical journey started as a part of Gayaza High School’s choir when she was 13 years old, where she was trained classically as a vocalist.

As she progressed through her formal education and work life, she served as the Music Director of a school chapel choir, worship leader, part of school music and drama productions, a member of two music groups and a backing vocalist at various friends’ concerts.

She was introduced to Uganda’s music scene as a backing vocalist for Maurice Kirya. She was later the lead vocalist of Pragmo Jazz Band where she learnt jazz and soul singing that widened her musical ability.

Basuuta came of age as a Solo-Artist after she released her debut 10 track album titled THE SONG LOVE on May, 1st 2015 in a sold-out concert at The Golf Course Hotel, Kampala.

She has performed at celebrated events like; Qwela Junction, Comedy Meets Music, Blankets and Wine (10th Edition) and numerous others.

When she is not behind the microphone as the singer, Solome is a speaker who uses her life experiences to inspire the youth and people from all walks of life.

Solome’s desire is for people to know that they are loved and deserve to be loved.

A recipient of The Rising Star Award (2015), HIT Awards Female artist of the year award (2016), and a couple of others, Solome Basuuta has matured as an artiste and this is seen in her new music.

In 2016, she released Can We Stay – a lead single from her sophomore unreleased project, SONG OF SOLOME. She followed this with Nsuubira (Feb 07, 2017) and All In later that year. Song Of Solome project will be released on a date that is yet to be announced.

In 2018, Solome released the upbeat and groovy Ndeete which saw her borrow the songwriting expertise of Naava Grey and her team.

Now, she is ready to share her journey on the different stages that she performs or speaks at.
