Wednesday (October 14) is a day many residents in Kisenyi, Kiganda zone want to forget. A fire erupted and burnt down a chain of houses and property worth millions of shillings. The fire which is said to have sparked off from a lodge called Chot and spread to nearby houses.  The fire destroyed property like fridges, mattresses, cars, workshops, and other things.

Efforts to put off the fire were in vain as the the Fire brigade police could hardly get to the scene due to poor and narrow roads.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
