Rwenzururu King Charles Mumbere will jet out of the country for special medical care after being okayed by the International Crimes Division of High Court

Courts decision was in regard to a recommendation by the doctor from Mengo Hospital who advised that Mumbere needs surgery for both his eyes abroad as the surgery cannot be executed in Uganda.

The High Court instructed  Mumbere to return his passport to court after seven days after his returns to the country.

Mumbere has been battling with capital offenses since 2016 when he was arrested.

Prosecution intends to pin him on 41 charges related to murder, aggravated robbery, terrorism among others.

Mumbere is still not allowed to travel in Kasese as he could compromise witnesses who are his subordinates.
