Mastula Lukowe the wife of the Budhagali Nabbamba is set to have a husband in the new oracle of Bujagali falls.

Muyiiri Waiswa, the head of the new Budhagali enthronement committee revealed on Sunday that the heir to the throne will take full control of the deceased’s wife and children. 

Waiswa said that that unlike other traditionalists who marry wives of their own choice, the spirit of Budhagali Nabbamba chooses wives for its servants.

“Budhagali was serving a spirit which did not die with him, but rather kept hovering over the waters and chose the deceased’s successor who will caretake all his belongings including the wife and children. We cannot object to the ways of the spirits,” he added.

The face of the heir to the throne is yet to be unveiled. But according to Waiswa he has been selected. “We are still performing rituals to prepare him for the throne.”

The arrangement to have the new oracle marry the deceased’s wife is facing resistance from Betty Namade, the eldest daughter of Budhagali. 

Namande who already knows the heir to the throne says his mother won’t marry a youthful man.
