Health Minister Dr Ruth Aceng has announced that her ministry has quarantined 100 people who recently travelled from China to Uganda. The Minister was briefing the media at the Uganda Media Centre about the country’s preparedness to combat coronavirus.

The minister said out of the 100, 57 are Ugandans while 43 are Chinese

She said some of the travellers had been quarantined in their homes but under close supervision. The travellers, she said, will be monitored for 14 days.

She called on the public to exercise discipline when isolated and follow the guidelines issued.
