Gen Muhoozi Condemns Police Over Failure to Protect Bebe Cool Against Rowdy Fans

First son, Lt. Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has slammed police for failing to protect Bebe Cool on Saturday from rowdy revelers at Cindy’s Boom Party Concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval. Bebe was pelted with bottles while he performed. The singer, however, defied the signals that he should leave stage. He continued with his performance until some fans started to cheer him.

“How could police and the bouncers at Cindy’s concert allow a few hooligans to hurl bottles at one of Uganda’s greatest artists? The same hooligans beat up women on women’s day for simply loving President Museveni and Bebe Cool,” Lt. Gen.Muhoozi said in a tweet on Monday morning.

“We expect a lot better next time from Police,” he added.

Fans accused of Bebe for siding with siding “oppressors”.

It was not the first time he was being pelted with bottles. Last year, he experienced the same nightmare at the Swangz Avenue All-Star Concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval, forcing him to take a break from the stage for some time.

Other musicians who have suffered the same treatment are; Catherine Kusasira, BigEye, and others who lean towards the National Resistance Party (NRM)
